Eligibility of Submissions
GUIDELINES AND INSTRUCTIONS
- Members must be in good standing in the LHBA. This means that the member must have their 2025/2026 LHBA membership dues paid and full, and no invoices that are past due before the finalists are announced.
Marketing Materials
- Marketing materials must be solely used in the London HBA geographic area or in an adjacent market otherwise not serviced with an HBA/HBA with an awards program and used between January 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025.
Completion Dates
- New Home, Renovation, and Design projects must be completed within the London HBA geographic area or in an adjacent market otherwise not serviced with an HBA/HBA with an awards program and completed between January 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.
Geographical Area
- You can submit a project from the London area as long as there are no other HBA's within that area. For instance, projects cannot be located within the STEHBA boundary (including Port Stanley, Central Elgin and St. Thomas).
Renovations
- To submit in the Renovation Category, the general contractor must be a CHBA Verified RenoMark Renovator (or currently working with CHBA to be verified). Click the link below to learn more and to access the verification system. https://www.chba.ca/renomark-members/
New Homes & Condos
- New Home entry pricing must be inclusive of net HST and the market value for the lot.
- To qualify for a New Home Category, the General Contractor must be registered with Tarion.
- Condominium projects must be 25% complete between January 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025 to qualify for Project of the Year
Design Credits
- Design Credit will be presented for New Home, Renovation, Design and Marketing categories to those LHBA members whom the General Contractor wishes to recognize as having made a significant contribution to the design of the marketing material or building project. If an LHBA member made a significant contribution to the project, please recognize their work.
- Limit of two design credits per entry. Companies must be LHBA members.
- If a supplier or sub-trade wishes to submit an entry into a New Home, Renovation, or Marketing category to receive Design Credit, they must receive consent from the General Contractor. General Contractor must be a member, and will receive the Award should the entry win.
ALL Categories
- Winning entries from a previous year are NOT eligible.
- New Home, Renovation, and Marketing Awards will be presented to the “General Contractor” of the project. General Contractor is defined as being responsible for coordinating subcontractors involved in the project. Design credits will be given as noted above.
- Should questions arise regarding the category for which any entry is submitted, the member company must be able to substantiate price-point upon request.
